The Circuit de Chimay is a street circuit and is located north of Chimay. The circuit has been used since 1926 for races with motorcycles and cars, although not every year with modern equipment could be driven.
Since the opening the circuit has changed very little. Yet the circuit is now quite different from the original circuit. It has changed from a long and fast circuit to a mid-length circuit with quite a lot of chicanes and has been shortened compared to earlier years.
In 1995 it was shortened to the current length of 4,520 meters. The circuit has also become more permanent over time and nowadays about half of the circuit, including the paddock, is built with motorsport in mind.
On the circut, among other things, classic races are held and there is a race for years for the IRRC championship.
